The Judge tells Secretary Coffman to stop purging voters, again

In a phone hearing earlier this afternoon, US District Judge John Kane reiterated in clearer language that Secretary Coffman has to stop purging voters from the Colorado rolls. "There has been a violation of federal law, and that must cease and stop immediately... That is the order."

VOTER GROUPS CRY FOUL AS COFFMAN CONTINUES ILLEGAL PURGE

PURGED COLORADO VOTERS WIN UNPRECEDENTED PROTECTIONS TO ENSURE VOTES ARE COUNTED

DENVER — An agreement reached late yesterday before a federal judge in Colorado ensures that tens of thousands of Colorado voters illegally purged from the registration lists will have their votes counted. The decision was hailed by voting rights and good-government groups in Colorado and nationwide as a victory for voters and a clear message that election officials must take the necessary steps to make sure ballots cast by eligible voters are counted.

CHECK YOUR REGISTRATION

Be sure to check your registration before you go to vote.  There's a lot going on this season and you'll want to be sure your voting experience is a seamless one.  Don't forget that you can vote before Election Day.  While you can cast your ballot on Election Day, lines could be shorter if you vote early.
