November 1, 2011 Election

Vote by Mail: In 60 of Colorado's 64 counties, the election will be held by mail.  All ballots must be received by 7pm on November 1, so to make sure your ballot is counted, mail it by Friday Oct. 28.  After Friday, you will want to drop it off at a designated location in your county.

In 8 counties (Boulder, Denver, Conejos, Costilla, Eagle, Huerfano, Pitkin, and Pueblo), all registered voters will receive ballots by mail.  In the other 52 counties conducting vote by mail elections, voters who are "inactive fail to vote" (marked as such for not voting in the 2010 general election) need to activate their voter registration in order to receive a ballot.

Voters can check their registrations and activate their records at www.GoVoteColorado.com.  After you enter your verifying information, your voter registration record will appear.  Follow the link "Click here to activate your voter registration".   Registered voters can also update their addresses through the GoVoteColorado.com website.  After October 25, all address changes and activations must be done at the county clerk's office.

Polling Place: Voters in Jackson and San Juan counties will vote at their assigned polling places.

Vote Centers: Voters in Arapahoe and Lake counties may vote at any vote center within their home county.
